The focus of this research lies in creating a solar-powered electric bicycle that is environmentally sustainable. Industries and countries are actively considering the transition to sustainable resources as part of their efforts to embrace eco-friendly practices and contribute to improving our planet. The primary cause of global warming is predominantly attributed to emissions from transportation. With the world experiencing a significant rise in fuel prices, there's a growing imperative to explore alternative solutions. The study involves a design-making phase which includes the selection of different parts. Then the development phase where the initiative is to make the bicycle and at last the testing phase. It is proposed to use an auto-geared system to increase the speed of a bicycle at varying load conditions. A bicycle is running at a maximum speed of 31 Km/hr which is better than the existing e-bicycles. The time taken by bicycle to fully charge is 3 hours but, considering the lithium-ion battery connected to the solar panel, it can be charged between 4 to 5 hours, which can also be charged using dynamo. The live location of the bicycle can also be tracked with the help of GPS to provide security. Auto-gear mechanism also locks the wheels without power; enhancing the overall security. The cost of building the bicycle is 17,800 INR. The efforts are made to optimize the performance, accuracy, security, speed, and cost.
