The lack of timely notifications about bus arrivals frequently leads to missed buses, disrupting commuters' schedules and causing frustration, which undermines the reliability of the public transportation system. Additionally, varying passenger demand results in imbalances in bus occupancy, with overcrowded buses during peak times and underutilized services at other times, contributing to congestion and discomfort. To address these issues, this project introduces a system that utilizes mobile GPS technology for precise real-time bus tracking and provides timely alerts to passengers. By sending personalized notifications before buses arrive, the system enhances passenger readiness and minimizes delays. It also uses crowd analysis to adjust bus frequencies based on real-time passenger demand, optimizing service utilization and alleviating overcrowding. This approach aims to improve service reliability, streamline the boarding process, and create a more efficient and responsive public transportation system, ultimately enhancing the overall commuting experience.
