The increased utilization of EVs has great potential in improving environmental sustainability and brings new opportunities to electric power system operation. The large-scale integration of wind power with intermittent characteristics brings a challenge to the system operators. Installation of an electric vehicle (EV) charging system in a wind farm to smoothen the wind power fluctuation creates a challenge to the power system. To address the challenge of charging/discharging EVs participating in wind power fluctuation mitigation, this paper proposes a coordinated integration of EVs fleet with uncertain wind power. The uncertainties associated with wind power scenario generation are considered using Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) techniques. A mixed integer linear optimization model can be used to optimize the operation approaches of electric vehicle charging stations. The EVs integrated into a six-bus test system provide practically reliable and affordable results. The results of the simulation assess the impact of EVs, uncertainty of wind power, EV fleets charging/discharging, curtailment of wind power and CPU time. The results also show that EVs can help to reduce network congestion and operational costs.
