Degrading air quality is a matter of grave concern not only for environmentalists and government but for humanity as a whole. There are various methods and techniques being employed to monitor the cause of air pollution and reduce it. In the past there have been researches on controlling vehicular air pollution with the help of IoT by monitoring the amount of exhaust released by vehicles. However the proposed research work aims to reduce vehicular pollution by putting control on idling of vehicles. The fact that by simply controlling emissions by idling vehicles, this research work aims to significantly improve air quality and reduce pollution. A system of RFID , frequency based idling detection and wifi transmission of data is used. System is designed in a way, such that it controls idling and also generates monetary benefit for government in return.
