The modern networking system in the autonomous vehicle has solved a lot of intriguing smart transportation problems. Features like- lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, cruise control, accident detection etc. have enormously contributed to the smart traffic system. But unfortunately at the same time, these communication channels opened the door for the cyber attackers to create several safety issues and fatalities. In this paper, we contribute to this safety system by designing a model-based detection scheme for Denial of Service attack on the Lane-Keeping Assist (LKA) system. This system will detect the presence of the attack and alert the human driver to take control of the vehicle. The Lane-Keeping Assist system of Simulink has been taken as reference and the detection system is also designed there with our own algorithm.
