In this paper, the traffic accidents at intersections are discussed in depth, and the significant factors affecting the severity of car accidents in intersections are found out. 260 cases of the traffic accident data come from Songjiang District, Shanghai from 2008 to 2016. The severity of intersection accidents can be classified into three categories. They are death accidents, injuries accident and property damage accidents. The intersection car accident severity is selected as the dependent variable, and eleven factors from the four aspects of driver, vehicle, road and environment are selected as the candidate independent variables. The combined stepwise method is used to analyze the significant correlation between dependent variable and independent variables. The cumulative Logistic model is adopted to establish the analysis model of car accident severity at the intersection, the developed model is tested from two aspects, which are Goodness-of-fit test and parallel test.
