An MPEG-4 video decoder for a PDA device is developed. The hardware system around Intel's PXA-250 application processor is chosen for development. High optimization methods were implemented on target device for a selected set of MPEG-4 tools. Complete MPEG-4 simple profile video decoder was implemented that resulted in good output quality.
