This paper discusses the utilization of the artificial gorilla troops approach in the fractional order proportional-integral-derivative (FOPID) controller to enhance the load frequency control (LFC) in the restructured system. This work presents a mathematical characterization of the social behavior of gorillas and introduces unique techniques for investigating and utilizing gorilla environments. The dynamic properties of the system can be determined by incorporating step load perturbations and evaluating them using the integral square error method. The newly proposed method for optimizing artificial gorilla groups clearly outperforms the grey-wolf optimization technique (GWO). This study compares the FOPID controller and the proportional integral derivative (PID) controller in terms of various optimization methodologies to evaluate different power transactions.
