This paper describes the design maturation of an electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for urban air mobility. This work aims to build upon previous work on the propulsion design to ensure the vehicle is stable and airworthy using GeneAl, a python based genetic algorithm. The design aspects used in the genetic algorithm for this study are wing position, planform dimensions, number of propulsors and their span-wise position. Additionally, a detailed powertrain configuration analyzed using Simulink is also presented. Aerodynamic efficiency of various propulsion configurations and power requirements will be evaluated and the final design presented.
