• This paper introduced OpenFlow protocol to AFDX and presented the architecture of the software-defined AFDX. • We modeled the OpenFlow channel, packets and flows, and proposed a GSA based algorithm for OpenFlow channel deployment. • The algorithm was evaluated through simulation. The results show that OpenFlow channel can be deployed without violating any flow's constraints.
