An accurate power consumption model for a quadrotor is critical in estimating it's endurance like flying time, flight range, speed, payload limits, etc. These are attributes of a quadrotor that play a crucial role in deciding the best possible path or trajectory that it can traverse to complete its task with least amount of power consumed. Since quadrotors are generally powered by fixed capacity batteries, it is essential that the power consumed by the quadrotor during flight is minimum as this can lead to longer flight time. So, a power model should be able to precisely predict the power that will be consumed by a quadrotor in a trip. In this paper, we present few experimental results which show that power consumption computation based on a quadrotor's maneuver gives better results compared to a standard power consumption model available in literature.
