Wireless power transfer in EV charging is a concept to charge vehicle batteries without the need for a cable. This concept is supported when suitable and kept at a suitable distance. The coupling between two coils results in power transfer wirelessly when subjected to compensating network. In this article, a suitable LLC resonant converter is designed based on the concept of inductive power transfer and mathematical calculation for circuit parameters. The complete model operates at the resonance frequency of 100 KHz with an operating voltage of 395V. The output power is obtained as 700W with an efficiency of 96.6%. The concept of Constant current and constant voltage charging is initiated through a closed-loop PI controller. Simulation is done using MATLAB/Simulink serves the purpose of Li-ion battery charging with satisfactory results. Distance between two coils kept at 20cm with a coupling factor of 0.026
