In the present paper we describe a satellite ranging measurement experimental campaign. Measures were made on the Telstar 12 Eutelsat satellite, using the general purpose laboratory instrument ANRITSU MS2830A spectrum/signal analyzer and vector signal generator. All measurements were carried at Telespazio Fucino Space Centre (Central Italy). The developed approach can measure the satellite ranging in realtime and correct the Doppler effect, producing accurate results.
