█ We presented results of performance measurements of the SANDRA network gained from the measurement of selected sample-applications in the SANDRA flight-trial campaign. █ The sample applications were modeled after real-world aeronautical applications, but specifically adapted to allow network performance measurements. — A SWIM-like information sharing protocol was used to test the suitability of the network to downlink telemetry data. — A controller-pilot-datalink-communication (CPDLC) application was used to test the latency and reliability of the network. — A VoIP appliance was used to test the quality of service provided by the network in the presence of background traffic and handovers. █ The results indicate clearly the suitability of the SANDRA architecture for a wide range of aeronautical applications.
