This paper presents an experimental demonstration of a novel all optical OCDMA code drop unit for use in transparent ring networks. This unit removes the correlated code from the ring for dropping at the desired node. It prevents from noise build up, oscillation and crosstalk. It also enhances privacy by not broadcasting codes to all nodes downstream from the intended recipient and increase the scalability of the network by enabling code re-use.
