Nowadays, passenger’s comfort in light duty vehicle is a major point of survey due to increase in consideration of comfortability of occupants in (Internal combustion engine vehicles) ICEV / (Electric Vehicles) EV car cabin. The survey will lead to satisfactory comfort of a human body while driving an EV and having a long journey in it. One of the passenger’s comfort parameters is thermal comfort which effectively involves air velocity, air temperature, relative humidity and radiation load that is further treated by an (Heating Ventilation and Air conditioning) HVAC system in an EV car cabin. Therefore, this paper consists of review on thermal comfort inside the car cabin with reference to cooling and heating processes in electric vehicles. Also, (Predicted Mean Vote) PMV and (Predicted Percentage of Dissatisfied) PPD are discussed in the detail which signifies the prediction reports for the assessment of a thermal comfort when several human bodies are present inside an Electric Vehicle. As per literature survey, maximum papers conclude the PMV and PPD reports generated by (Computer Aided Engineering) CAE software for evaluating occupant’s thermal comfort in an electric vehicle cabin.
