Computerized ionospheric tomography is a relatively new tomographic imaging system for reconstructing electron density distributions. This imaging system suffers from many physical constraints in the data acquisition system which result in severely limited data. The most significant of these limitations is the restricted detecting aperture. Because of the size of the missing cone in the spatial frequency domain, the incorporation of a priori information into the reconstruction process is essential for image reconstruction. This paper presents an algorithm which localizes frequency content in order to form a priori information on the space-frequency relationship of ionospheric distributions.<>
