Estimating the State of Health (SoH) of the batteries used in Electric Vehicles (EVs) is one of the most important tasks of the Battery Management System (BMS) to ensure the dependable and secure operation of Lithium-Ion Batteries (LIBs). Due to dynamics characteristics, LIBs experience many internal changes including capacity degradation, increase in internal resistance, formation of Solid Electrolyte Interphase (SEI) layer on electrodes, etc. which gradually affect the performance of EVs. This paper proposes a twin approach by combining the advantages of the coulomb counting method and the charging time method. The experimental results prove the feasibility of the proposed approach.
