In this paper, a hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation platform for fault diagnosis of distributed engine control system is constructed by using rapid prototype technology. The simulation platform mainly includes main workstation, aircraft engine terminal, fault diagnosis terminal and processor node. The main workstation monitors the engine parameters and displays the results of fault diagnosis algorithm. The aircraft engine terminal uses automatic code generation technology to embed the model into an industrial computer with a real-time system. The embedded code of fault diagnosis algorithm is generated automatically and deployed in the fault diagnosis principle prototype built by DSP. A bank of Kalman filters fault diagnosis algorithm is used to diagnose the sensor fault of distributed engine control system, which has been tested repeatedly under digital conditions and hardware conditions. The results show that the system can realize sensor fault diagnosis in distributed engine control system under digital conditions and hardware conditions. The execution time of the diagnosis algorithm in DSP is 3.7ms. The hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform can simulate the common typical faults of distributed engine control system and can verify the diagnostic algorithm in real-time.
