In many wireless sensors based traditional protocols, the path selection is based on either minimum distance energy or hop counts which experiences high routing overhead. Most of the protocols do not consider the status of the node or intermediate nodes such as estimated lifetime and congestion at the node. In meanwhile the network should have sufficient energy to handle data transmission and routing of information from source to destination. However, to improve the network lifetime and other QoS parameters, selection criteria of multipath is an exceedingly challenging task. In this paper we propose an Optimal QoS-aware multipath routing protocol for IoT based Wireless Sensor Networks. The proposed protocol determines the path from source to the destination by calculating the optimal cost factor, where it consider two factors i.e lifetime and congestion in a node. Despite the fact that the protocol adopts two kinds control of the packet, it offers less energy consumption and better QoS. Extensive simulation has been executed and compared with standard state of art another routing algorithm to endorse better performance of the proposed protocol.
