Describes a component based architecture approach used for intelligent distributed information systems in vehicles. Besides a conceptual model, the architecture provides basic mechanisms for software loading and unloading and the access to new and emerging services. We also see specialized management services as parts of this architecture that facilitate and support the safe interaction between user and vehicle.
