Hull deformation of large-scale vessels directly influences the working condition of propulsion shaft. In this paper, an integrated finite element model for a 8530TEU container ship, is built up using the finite element software ANSYS. Hull deformations of propulsion shafting bearing supports under different loading conditions are calculated. And hull deformation effects on inherent characteristics for propulsion shafting vibration are analyzed emphatically. The research results have certain referenced significance on shafting vibration and vibration absorbing measures.
