Microscopic traffic data is needed to properly calibrate the driver behavior models of a microscopic traffic simulator. Specific trajectories of many individual vehicles were extracted from video traffic data in Boston to calibrate simulations of the Central Artery by MITSim. This paper describes our use of the ViVA traffic analysis software to develop this data.
