This articles demonstrates and discusses the group velocity dispersion and deterministic polarization mode dispersion in an omnidirectional photonic bandgap Bragg fiber (OPBF). Analysis of the mode's dispersion properties were obtained by a transfer matrix technique while PMD of the elliptically distorted OBPFs was calculated by using a Hamiltoninan formulation of Maxwell's equation in terms of transverse components of electromagnetic fields.
