A six-wavelength hybrid dense-wavelength-division-multiplexing (DWDM) system with CATV, 256-QAM and OC-48 (2.5 Gb/s) video and digital trunking applications which use the optical vestigial sideband (VSB) filters to improve system performances was proposed and demonstrated.
