In this study, we give a preliminary orbit design for a regional navigation satellite system (RNSS)for Turkey. Due to positional and coverage similarities with the Japanese RNSS Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS), which mainly works as an augmentation system, we selected the orbit design of QZSS as a base for our design. The effectiveness of the orbit designs are quantified via calculating the dilution of precision (DOP)values.
