We demonstrate fast self-pumped optical phase conjugation at laser diode wavelengths using a novel semiconducting crystal Sn/sub 2/P/sub 2/S/sub 6/ optimized for near-infrared applications. We demonstrate grating recording with phase-conjugate reflectivities above 50% and response times of less than 50 ms in a ring-cavity scheme for 30 mW pump power at 860 nm.
