Basing on the simulation of MIG, complex cavities and the self-consistent nonlinear analysis on interaction between electron-beam and wave of complex cavity gyrotron, the design of 3mm second-harmonic complex cavity gyrotron operating on mode H02-H03 are reported. Initial experiments show a peak power of 118kW, an efficiency of 20.5%.
