The implantation of modern technologies ensures human safety and comfort. Many projects are being implemented to improve the efficiency of the functioning of urban infrastructure components. The «Smart City» project implemented by the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation includes support for developing modern technologies, one of which is V2X. This technology will solve the problems of urban area with the help of a traffic management system, the interaction of cars with other road users and with road infrastructure. The mechanism proposed by the authors and based on V2X technology regulates the priority of passages at crossroads by marking all modes of transport and describing the algorithm of action for each situation. Due to the stability of the flow of all modes of transport, the level of all road users’ safety and the efficiency of the entire urban infrastructure increases, and it becomes possible to introduce unmanned vehicles on public roads.
