Nowadays, the rapid development of advanced engineering and industrial technology has led to the common progress of different automobile car models. Although this giant leap has improved our lives a lot, this brings many concerns to people and eventually makes them struggle to choose cars. People are considering a high-level performance car with a much higher price and a family car with a price of around a hundred thousand RMB. Therefore, we are here to tell you how to make what is the final decision concluded with the most suitable reasons. Next, what you will see is our computed turning statistic for BMW M3 and Chevrolet Cavalier. To achieve our objective, we use Newton’s 2nd Law to formulate a system of 2nd order ordinary differential equations to represent the car’s dynamics. We then solve these equations numerically using Python and display the car’s trajectory on the computer. We modeled BMW M3 and Chevrolet Cavalier when they were doing U-turns and doing a lane change. We then analyze the trajectories and forces applied to the car under different conditions and with different models. We can see that for a larger turn angle, the nonlinear model is more accurate. When we use a nonlinear model comparing BMWM3 with Chevrolet Cavalier, we find out that the radius of turning of BMW is smaller than the Cavalier and BMW, which finishes turning in a short time. Based on our final calculation, we give out the conclusion below; This is clear to draw such a conclusion that high-level performance cars are much good at dealing with different traffic conditions with turning at a point. A car like M3 has the least duration when the car is changing its lane or turning in a U-shape corner. Also, the sports car represented by M3 has a more stable and excellent grip while the family car has worse efficiency on the track.
