The primary flight display system provides pilots with key information such as flight, navigation and flight management through data interaction with multiple avionics subsystems. Its importance is self-evident. The traditional software development method of primary flight display system focuses on code and document, which has a large workload of manual coding and verification, high demand change cost, and it is difficult to meet the airworthiness requirements of DO- 178B/C. In view of the above problems, this paper studies the modeling mechanism of Safety-Critical Application Development Environment and summarizes the software development process of SCADE. Finally, taking the design of primary flight display components as the background, this paper expounds the specific development process based on SCADE environment, and verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the design method of primary flight display components based on SCADE. The results show that SCADE realizes the automation of software development to a great extent, saves a lot of verification time, and reflects the advantages of software development in SCADE environment.
