The propagation of electromagnetic waves in two-dimensional photonic crystals of square lattice using discharged microplasmas is studied numerically. The propagation and control of a wave-guide mode in this two-dimensional plasma photonic crystal with line defects are demonstrated by finite difference time domain simulations of the Maxwell equation.
