Traffic problems have existed for a long time. Vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET) is a network of the future, which makes our live easier, because it optimizes road traffic, reduces accidents and harmful air emissions. VANET is a wireless network, which is used for communication between vehicles, vehicle and infrastructure and vehicle and cloud. Broadcast techniques are used in VANET network to reduce collision, contention, redundant messages and hidden node problem. It also improves the message reliability. This paper presents a comparative analysis of broadcasting protocols.
