We propose a continuously variable optical true time-delay (TTD) feeder for linear phased-array antennas (PAAs) composed of chirped fiber gratings (CFGs) and one tunable laser source. Experimental results on group delay slope of the CFG used are presented at several different RF frequencies. Design parameters and simulation results for a four-element PAA using CFGs are also given.
