This paper provides the idea of modification of conventional circular patch leading to a butterfly shape. RT duroid material has been selected as the substrate material. The size of the substrate has been taken as 20mm×20mm and the CPW structure has been implemented instead of the conventional ground plane. Then semi circular patch has been inverted and joined together to form the butterfly structure. Simulation has been done by Ansys HFSS ( High frequency Structure Simulator ). The antenna has been designed for the 60 GHz WPAN and WiGig application. Parameters like Return loss, Voltage standing wave ratio, Antenna Gain, Surface current distribution and directivity has been found out and analysed.
