The pivotal link in the chain of the power system is the transmission line. There is a need for modeling the transmission line before u sing it in the actual power transmission. This article will present a procedure for the development of a scaled-down laboratory model using the single line diagram and $\pi$-model of a transmission line based on per unit values of an actual line. From this model, voltage regulation, efficiency, and power circle diagram at the receiving end will be determined for various load values. The same scaled-down values are modeled in MATLAB SIMULINK software; the results are tabulated and the testing with the help of hardware experimentation is in progress.
