This article proposes a wideband Half Mode Sub-strate Integrated Waveguide (HMSIW) leaky-wave antenna that utilizes crossed and mirrored slot elements to suppress two stop-bands. The antenna eliminates two band-stop regions by using crossed and mirrored slots. It operates in a broad band of approximately 68%, ranging from 5.6 to 11.4 GHz. The antenna has a total beam scanning capacity of 106 degrees, ranging from $-53^{\circ}$ to $+53^{\circ}$. Its side lobe levels are relatively low, with an average of −13 dB. The antenna is an attractive choice for next-generation wireless communication applications, as it is capable of operating within the C band to X band.
