The Conventional Photovoltaic (PV) systems shut down during grid loss since they are unable to dynamically adjust their power extraction in response to the load demand. Achieving power matching in standalone mode poses a challenge for PV sys-tems. This paper deals with the design and control methodology of the standalone solar PV systems without battery backup which will match the power generation with load demand. This feature ensures uninterrupted power supply during the daytime in the absence of supply grid and battery also the operation of the PV system under various load conditions, incorporating control methods like Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), Flexible Power Point Tracking (FPPT) and voltage control techniques to achieve desired outcomes. MATLAB/SIMULINK serves as the simulation platform for system design and analysis to simulate the system.
