Algorithms and models have been applied in safety assessment and prediction. More and more factors were encompassed in updating of algorithms and models when the effect of techniques, environment, human behavior, hardware and software, and organization were encompassed in safety management step by step. Calculation and evaluation on factors’ individual effect and interrelationship among factors multiplied but accuracy of assessment and prediction increased little. This paper explored to develop an algorithm of overlimit event analysis based on QAR data, tested the correlation among accident, serious incident, general incident and overlimit event by the Spearman Method, checked the normality of serious incident and overlimit event rates’ distribution by the Q-Q plot, the Histogram chart and the Shapiro-Wilk Method, developed the algorithm based on standard deviation criteria, and verifies its reliability and validity.
