Infrared small target detection is complex, especially when the background of the image is very complicated. This paper mainly deal with FLIR image which is from shipborne infrared warning system, and our task is to precisely segment small targets of the image. Inspired by the visual attention mechanism, we propose a new visual saliency algorithm for infrared detection of small targets in the sky-sea background. This paper mainly include two parts. The first part use visual saliency to detect, and the second part segment targets based on Manifold Ranking.
