In the paper, a SAR imaging method based on ship target on-orbit detection is designed. According to the real-time task requirements of the SAR imaging method, the design constraints of process simulation and verification of satellite platform, payload, real-time information processing, integrated electronics, data transmission and other subsystems are carried out to prove the feasibility and effectiveness of the design. The SAR satellite adopts the on-orbit autonomous closed-loop working mode of active target discovery and autonomous guidance of high-resolution imaging, which will improve the intelligent level of the satellite greatly, enhance the easy-to-use experience for users, simplify the work of the satellite, and improve the flexibility and timeliness of imaging for ship targets in the application.
