In multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar system, the direction of arrival (DOA) estimation performance is improved by a larger virtual aperture, but the gain-phase errors among antennas will degrade the DOA estimation performance. In this paper, the DOA estimation problem is considered in the MIMO radar with inconsistent antennas. By exploiting the target sparsity in the spatial domain, a new atomic norm is proposed for the DOA estimation, where the optimization problem to minimize the proposed atomic norm is formulated. Then, with the corresponding definition of dual norm, a semidefinite program (SDP) is derived to solve the optimization problem efficiently.
