This paper introduces the principle and development of Hall thruster and analyzes its own advantages and disadvantages. This paper combines the transition technology which based on traditional chemical thruster with Hall thruster. The ion current with high temperature and high pressure replaces chemical propellant. The ion flow is limited and guided by magnetic field to improve the efficiency of thruster.
