By analyzing parameters such as baseline length, station location, height difference between main and sub stations, time difference accuracy, and station location measurement error, the optimal number of base stations and the optimal layout model of base stations are proposed. The simulation shows that Y-shaped and star shaped station layouts are the optimal base station layout models. A multi-point location method based on base station cluster(C-bases) layout is proposed. Using the location mode of adding two or more base stations to a C-bases, the positioning performance of the C-bases is superior to MLAT positioning, with the horizontal positioning accuracy being improved to 1.76m.
