In this paper, we propose a method for the accurate determination of the nonlinear coefficient /spl gamma/ of optical fibers based on the measurement of the nonlinear spectral phase of ultrashort pulses by using the spectral interferometry technique. And also we tested our method with very low dispersion fibers (DSF) and with highly nonlinear and dispersive fibres (DCF).
