Multi-axial sensors are commonly used in the vehicle motion measurement, like in the attitude measurement and inertial navigation. An ellipsoid fitting is a method useful for calibration of this kind of sensor. In the paper extension of this method by direct temperature compensation is proposed. The experiment with simultaneous testing of eight sensors gives data for calibration and also makes possible analysis of different forms of sensor response approximation. New finding is that, beside possibility of increase accuracy by temperature compensation, a temperature gradient in the sensor model additionally reduces sensor error.
