In this paper it is shown the probability density function (PDF) of the quality factor Q of vibrating reverberation chambers (VIRCs) when they work in overmoded region. The approach is based on the volumetric number of independent field samples and, by the central limit theorems, Q PDF is achieved. The volumetric number of independent samples of energy density is random according to the volume variation. It is shown that the Q PDF depends on the pdf of the volume; if the last one is normal, then Q PDF is normal as well. Except for this case, by simulations, it is shown that the Q PDF of the VIRCs is approximately normal when the coefficient of variation of the PDF of the volume is very less than one according to the PDF of the volume itself, and it tends quickly to the same PDF type of the volume with the increasing of the relevant coefficient of variation.
