Iterative interference cancelation for multi-user systems is investigated. After the authors in [12] already dealt with the concept of iterative interference cancelation in theory we give an outlook of the system performance in a more realistic environment. An implementation of a multi-user system with iterative cancelation in Simulink is introduced and its transmitter and receiver components are explained. We can show in some examples that the iterative interference cancelation works in general. However, the system is sensitive to certain parameter settings such as the LLR scaling in the soft bit estimation of the error control code. We show that substantial gains in power- and spectral efficiency are possible.
