This article advised the single-phase step-up multi-winding transformer-based nine-level multilevel inverter (MWTMLI) with optimum device counts. A single DC supply, six switches, and one multi-winding transformer(MWT) are used in the proposed topology. Level-shifted pulse width modulation (LSPWM) is used for level generation on the load side. The proposed converters have successfully undergone a brief comparison analysis in terms of the number of transformer requirements, PWM control method, switch count, voltage stress, and gate driver requirements. The results have been validated in the MATLAB/SIMULINK environment regarding 9L load voltage and load current. The suggested converter is verified under both dynamic and steady-state load circumstances.
