Two kinds of FDTD methods that can analyze periodic structures excited by oblique incident electromagnetic wave are presented in this paper. An infinite double-layered dielectric plate is simulated by the two methods and both the numerical results are good agreement with which from the equivalent circuit method(ECT). Characteristics of some high-pass frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) structures with certain thickness are obtained by the FDTD method at millimeter wavelengths. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages of the two methods are summarized briefly.
